Its all an offering

The drive to create is instinctive to our nature. It provides pleasure, but its much deeper than that, it serves us on our evolutionary path. Its not just chandeliers and pillows, the drive to create is how we individualize our spaces,  how we evolve as species to aquire new resources and find solutions to problems. It determines our survival. The act of creation gets you in the zone where you want to exist on your short time on this planet.

The question then becomes how do you want to create with (or for) others. How do you show up as creative? Because showing up can by terrifying. We often don’t know in what form we want to engage with our creativity. In our online world everything is so visible, so visceral, so everywhere. We think about how open we want to be online and/or worry if any of its good enough. There is an urge to shrink and not engage in our creativity. I thought a lot about this today and this video came to my moment and it all felt aligned again. This. All of this.

It’s all an offering to god…It’s a higher vibration. We are making the best we can make to the best of our ability out of love and devotion…There is no changing it for anyone else because it can’t be better than this devotional act we are doing. There is no higher form” -Rick Rubin
